The West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility is a 120,000-square-foot, 120-bed, impressively modern facility located in history-rich Clarksburg, West Virginia. The facility, which opened in 2008, is considered one of the finest, veterans-only nursing homes in the United States. The West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility features private and semi-private rooms, as well as a 20-bed unit reserved for residents in need of specialized care because of Alzheimer’s Disease or Dementia.

The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs operates eight skilled nursing facilities and one assisted living facility. All facilities are licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration and inspected annually by AHCA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The homes are supervised round the clock by registered and licensed nurses.

Ardie R. Copas State Veterans’ Nursing Home

The new 120-bed state veterans’ home is located at 13000 SW Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987 in the Port St. Lucie community of Tradition. St. Lucie County began the process of having the state’s seventh Veterans Nursing Home located in the Tradition area back in 2014 after Tradition Land Company donated the 28 acres for the project. Once completed, officials estimate that the facility will employ 190 people annually.

Utah State Veterans Nursing Home – Salt Lake City

The Utah Department of Veterans Affairs is responsible for the supervision and operation of the facility. The Department conducts its business through an onsite State Officer who is responsible for liaison with federal and state agencies and for ensuring that the contractor performs in accordance with the terms of the management contract. The Department contracts with a private nursing home management corporation to manage and operate the facility on a day-to-day basis.
