Bill Nichols State Veterans Home

The Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs (ADVA) owns and governs Bill Nichols State Veterans Home, located in Alexander City, Alabama. This 150 bed facility has undergone major renovations in order to remain one of the finest facilities in the nation. The most recent improvement in 2015 added thousands of square feet of additional living area for Veterans to congregate or relax.

Floyd E. “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home

There is a full-time VA Director on site at each facility appointed by the Board. Medical and nursing services, recreation therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dietary services, laundry services and church services.

Ardie R. Copas State Veterans’ Nursing Home

The new 120-bed state veterans’ home is located at 13000 SW Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987 in the Port St. Lucie community of Tradition. St. Lucie County began the process of having the state’s seventh Veterans Nursing Home located in the Tradition area back in 2014 after Tradition Land Company donated the 28 acres for the project. Once completed, officials estimate that the facility will employ 190 people annually.
