The design and concept of the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home (NNSVH) is like no other. While it offers the highest level of skilled care, it will never feel like a hospital or institution. The 102,000 square foot facility has 96 beds and features a host of amenities.

Nevada State Veterans Home

Honorees who were able were also given rides in an historic Boeing Stearman biplane. The rides provided flew out of the Boulder City Airport that morning. It was noted after WWII, thousands of such aircraft were destroyed, but the few that are left are still “great airplanes” and can often be seen flying in vintage motion pictures.

The Oregon Veterans’ Home in The Dalles was the first State Veterans Home in Oregon, opening its doors in the fall of 1997. The facility is nestled on a hillside, overlooking the majestic Columbia River, with clear views of the Columba River Gorge. One of the many things that truly sets The Dalles Veterans’ Home apart from other care communities are the residents.The Dalles Veterans’ Home is situated on 15 acres located in the historic Columbia Gorge community of The Dalles.

William F. Green State Veterans Home
